Agali is situated in the Attappady Hills in district of Palakkad. Being a hill area with no transportation facilities it was very difficult for the children especially girls of the surrounding villages to reach the school. To alleviate this problem Mar Joseph Irumpen Bishop Of Palakkad requested the Thrissur CMC sisters to start an orphanage in Agali for girls.In compitance with the request a convent cum orphanage was constructed near the Agali parish church. The same was blessed on 5th Feb 1977 by the Bishop and was given the name 'Nazereth Bhavan'. Sr.Tibursia was appointed as superior she took charge on May 30th .The other members were sr.Clara Magdalena and Sr.Bency. Orphanage was Started in June with 64 girls from the surrounding villages. A nursery was also begun with 24 children.Orphanage was recognized by the government in 1981 and took the name Kripanilayam.The sisters took special care for the academic, mental and spiritual formation for the girls. Thus Kripanilayam stands as asymbol of receving and giving the God's mercy to the poor girls.
Agali being a junction of many roads from the interior of the Attappady hills Nazareth Bhavan is a welcome resort for Priests, sisters and tourist on their to and from trips to the interior villages.
The sisters co-operate with the parish priest in all the activities of the parish.They visit the house around the convent encouraging families to live their faith more diligently and solving problem in the families and between the families.
Nazereth Bhavan stands on the top of the hill extending her arms to all in respective of cast or creed.
