Sr.Mary Visitation, the fifth daughter of Chacko and Elizabeth, called by the pet name Theyyamma was born on 11th April 1910 in Uzhuvappally Parish.She completed her schooling while staying at Athirampuzha Convent boarding and Intermediate from St.Teresas College, Ernakulam.From childhood onwards she was an embodiment of patience, empathy and sacrifice. Later within a short period she could recognise her special call to CMC Congregation and surrendered her life as a servant of God. In 2nd May 1942 she took her first Profession.
After her first Profession she did her higher education in Trichur and Trivandrum and in 1946 she started her profession as a teacher in St.Marys School, Cherthala. Sr.Mary Visitation, a perfect piece of humbleness took her final Profession in 22nd March 1949. On the same year she was appointed as the Headmistress of St.Marys School, Cherthala after the school has been raised to a high school status. She totally dedicated herself for the upliftment and wellbeing of the school until 1965. She was a boosting force to all her colleagues, students and to those who interacts closely with her.
She was a humble and a strong instrument in the hands of Almighty and He hailed her to the position of First Provincial Superior of Vimala Province and she continued in this position successfully for 6 years from 1962 to 1968. She was selected as one of the Curia member for the Unification of CMC along with Bishop Hippolitus and she devoted her best for the CMC unification. She was able to solve the problematic situation confronted by St.Josephs B.Ed College, Ernakulam in a peaceful way.
She spent her later years at Bombay, Chowara and her final days back at Muttom Convent. In the firepool of sacrifice and suffering, she was refined and purified and called back to eternity on 3rd July 2004.
