Sr. Mary Agnes CMC (General Council1)
Sr. Mary Agnes was born on March 29, 1910 in Kunithai Parish, to Joseph Chadeyamuzhi and Thresia. She received her Primary education from the Boarding at Paroor and later she did her schooling in St. Alosyius . After completing her higher studies she was employed as a teacher in St. Alosyius School. Responding to the invitation of the Lord she joined the convent and made her first profession on February 21, 1932 and final Profession on February 2, 1938 and celebrated her 50 years of commitment to the Lord in 1982. She continued teaching in St Alosyius School for 35 years of which 20 years she served as the Head Mistress of the School. She was a person of profound prayer and deep love for her religious sisters and her students and her life in school was filled with profound happiness. After her retirement form Service in school she was appointed as the General Councillor of the CMC. Mother Mary Agnes was also gifted by the Lord to compose songs for the Lord. The famous songs like Karthavam Yeshuve Marthya vimochaka and Eshoen jeevadhinayaka were written by her, She also has a couple of books to her credit- Novena books, Prayer books and Books for Adoration. She also translated the book Garabanthel, Snehasopanam. She shared her spirit of prayer, simplicity, sacrifice and her apostolate of humble works of love with her fellow sisters. She was blessed with long life by the Lord. She left for heavenly abode on 8th March 2005 leaving behind a legacy of love, sincerity, fidelity and simplicity.
