Sr. Immaculate CMC (General Council2)
Sr. Immaculate was born on 11th August 1920 as the daughter of Pookattu Alponse and Kathrina in the parish of Arakuzha, Kothamangalam. She entered CMC in 1940 and committed her first profession on 2nd May 1942. She rendered her valuable services as a teacher in the schools at Kothamangalam and Vazhakulam. After retirement she was elected as the General Councillor and served the Congregation for 6 years. She died on 18th June 1987 by heart attack, after consciously receiving the last sacrament. It was on the feast of Christs holy ascension to heaven.
She was leading a life of silent service, hard work, simplicity and restless service. Prayerfulness and obligation to the superiors were qualities to be well spoken of. She was a sister of few words.
