Sr.Mary Magdalene   was born  on 18th January 1929  as the daughter of Antony and Thressia of Erinjery Family, Cherpu in the Thrissur Archdiocese.  She was the 4th  among  the 10 children of the family. Rosy was her baptismal name. She joined CMC in 1951 after her B.A degree. She  entered the novitiate in 1953 but discontinuing her novitiate with special permission  she went to Holland to study Medicine.  She completed the MD studies in 1962 and returned to Kerala and completed her Novitiate.

In 1963 again she went to England and completed MRCP in medicine and FRCOG in Gynecology. After completing the course she worked in Coimbatore and Bihar for around 3years. She joined St.Josephs Hospital Choondal, Thrissur in 1972 and worked there till 1987. She became famous and known as Erinjery doctor with her   expertise in women  diseases, pregnancy cases and fertility problems.  She  worked as Gynecologist  also  in  St.Vincent De Paul  Hospital, Ollur.  Since 2002 she was  in Santhitheertham at Thozuppadam  which is a house of prayer in the Ashram model. She was much interested in this life style and lived joyfully adhering to the rules and regulations of  Ashram life.  She was also engaged in clinical services in the Euphrasia dispensary which was attached to this Ashram. During this period she was actively  involved in the family apostolate activities of the Archdiocese. She was dedicated in giving awareness classes to mothers and young women about natural family planning. 

Along with her higher education she had a deep spirituality and filled with the love of God and  love for  fellow beings.  She was a very  humble person. She had great concern towards her subordinates.  She was very particular in spending time before the Blessed Sacrament after her duties at the hospital. She was very keen in updating herself in her field by spending time in reading and attending seminars   and workshops.

She was the general councilor during the period 1991- 1997 and the superior of Santhitheertham, Thozhupadam for the period 1998 2001.  She was the director of Santhitheertham from 2002 to 2011.When she became sick she was transferred to Mareena Home Choondal in 2011 and was leading a peaceful life till her death .On 10th March 2013 she was taken to the Lord for eternal rest. May her soul rest in peace.
