Palliative Care Unit
We have a pain and palliative care unit named SANTHWANAM. The license we got under Orphanages and social welfare control board at 2008 December. It aims to allow such people to have the best possible quality of life and to die with dignity. We are giving free services to them. Not getting any grant from the government. We are doing this service only by the great heart of our local community.
This institution provides free nursing care, food, clothing and shelter to the poor, the abandoned, the weak, and the down trodden and bedridden of 25 women patients. Sr.Seena & Sr.Soly are in charges of this palliative care. We have permanent services of 2 nursing staff, 6 nursing assistants, once a week the service of a doctor and in emergency situations the services of 3 other doctors.
